SOLD#4016 Blake and Henderson Hand Painted Grape PlatesSOLD

The Blakeman mark has been dated to the early 1900's and is a decorating mark.   The star mark is a factory mark for Coiffe and is dated 1891-1914.   So these beautiful plates were produced between 1900 and 1914.  Each plate is slightly different because of the hand painting, though it is the same pattern.  Heavy gold trim around the scalloped rims.  6 inches diameter.  Excellent condition.  Total of five in stock.  Price is per piece.

#3922 Limoges Bowl

Unmarked, except for the word France.  Elegant old bowl decorated with Roses and Lilacs that are intermingled with gold rococo flourishes -- all in a combination of transfer designs and hand decoration.  Even the outer walls are decorated with the beautiful florals.  The scalloped rococo gold rim completes the elegant appearance of this old treasure.  A great display bowl for any collector.  Age unknown, but most likely c.1920's or possibly older.  10" diameter x 2 1/4" tall.  Excellent condition.

#2567 Limoges 1890'sTureen and Tray Hand Painted

The marks date this set to the late 1890's.  The green J.P.L. is a whiteware mark of Jean Pouyat of Limoges, France.  The red mark is a decorating mark of Oscar Gutherz of Austria who worked only a short time in Limoges in the late 1800's (Source:  Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain, Third Edition, by Gaston, pages 238 and 346).  The bowl is 3 1/2" tall.  The opening of the bowl is 11 3/4" x 8".  The bowl is approximately 15" wide at the outer tips of the handles.  Notice that the lid has a ladle opening.  The tray is approximately 19" x 11".  This is a gorgeous and magnificent set and a treasure of a find!!!

#2570 Limoges Old Dish

Not marked, but we believe it to be Limoges and believe it to be quite old.  Notice the beautiful scalloped rim and the delicate flowers.  Only traces of gold left on edge of rim which is the best indication of age.  It also has a teeny chip on one corner of rim -- not noticeable except upon close scrutiny -- definitely not noticeable when on display -- notice upper right corner of first picture of front and  lower left corner in picture of back side.  It is priced accordingly.  Measurements are 6 1/2" x 4 1/8".
