#2151 Tea Set by K & A Krautheim, Selb Bavaria Germany

Teapot, 4 sets teacups and saucers, creamer, sugar, 4 dessert plates --  all in excellent condition.  Teapot (which looks as though it was never used) measures 8" tall to top of finial on lid.  Dessert plates are 6 7/8" diameter (2 plates have minimal wear of gold about 1" in length on outer edge of rims -- only noticeable upon close examination) .  Teacups are 2 1/8" tall x 3 1/2" diameter across top opening.  Saucers are 5 1/8" diameter.  Sugar is 4" tall to top of finial on lid and 5 1/2" wide at the outer points of the handles (outer rim of sugar bowl has some spotted minimal wear of gold -- only noticeable upon close examination).  Creamer  is 2 3/4" tall x 5" wide from the outer tips of the spout and handle.  Notice the footed design of the teapot, cups, sugar, and creamer and scalloped rims of the plates and saucers.  In addition, at no charge, are the following:  1 extra saucer which is also excellent2 extra cups, each of which have a teeny fleabite on the rim which can be easily repaired by a professional; 1 extra saucer with very noticeable chip on rim, also repairable by a professional.  Exact age of set unknown.  This set came out of an estate in a very old part of Dallas.

The mark is dated from 1922-1945 (page 65 of Kovel's Dictionary of Marks).  After 1945, the word Franconia was added to the mark.  In research, I've not been able to find another set like this and assume it is probably a discontinued pattern.
