Schumann "Betsy Ross"
figural pieces in various colors have
been found with assorted marks, including the one with
Royal Dresdener/Dresdner Art as part of the mark which was used by the Schumann China Corporation of New
York City, the U. S. distributor of Carl Schumann products between
the years of 1931-1941.
Other marks include the red crown and shield
mark and the old blue shield
mark. The best we can figure out, all of these pieces are
c.1930's-40's. |

Old Blue mark is dated as
earlier as 1918 or before. Good to excellent condition.
Miniscule wear of gold here and there as would be expected for their age
(not readily noticeable). These beautiful little sets speak for
themselves and are an unusual find. Cups are marked with
the old blue Schumann mark. The saucers are
unmarked. The figural and floral alternating panels are in
green and white backgrounds with gold trim outlining each panel.
Saucers are 4 1/4" diameter. Cups are 2 1/4" tall. Wonderful for
decorative display. |
