Royal Doulton England Demitasse Cup and Saucer

#2725 Royal Doulton England 1928 Demitasse Cup and Saucer.   According to the Doulton dating system described on page 237 of Kovel's Dictionary Marks, these were manufactured in 1928 (from 1912-1930's, Doulton used an impressed numbering system, with the last number meaning the year of manufacture -- the last impressed number on these is 28, for 1928; impossible to photograph).  We've learned from a very reliable source that this pattern is called ORIENT (Thanks Ann!!).  Elegant little treasure.  Cup is 2 1/8" tall x 2 3/8" across top opening.  Saucer is 4 3/8" diameter.  Excellent condition.  SOLD

Item #2725 SOLD

The handwritten numbers to the right of this mark is probably the artist's mark.
