#2739 Schumann Mythological Figural Decorative Plate

The beautiful mythological scene is in transfer, but give the illusion of being hand painted.  Beautiful gold trim on inner rim and outer reticulated scalloped rim.  Notice the gold cartouches alternating with the blue panels on top side of rim.  c.1920's.  The number is most likely a pattern number.  A very elegant plate with gorgeous colors.  8 1/2" diameter.  Excellent condition.  Not for Sale at the Moment, but is here for informational purposes.

#2665 Schumann Reticulated Oval Small Bowl

Reticulated sides.  Heavily decorated with gold, including gold bottom showcasing a beautiful cluster of colorful florals.  4 3/4" x 4" x 1 1/2" tall.  Excellent condition.  A real beauty!!  c. mid-20th century

#2707 Old Schumann Dresden Flowers Bread Basket

 Old blue mark dates it back to c.1920's-30's.  Gorgeous deep blue cartouches with gold trim, showcasing large Dresden Flowers bouquet in the center.  Notice beautiful reticulated handles.  10 3/4" x 6 1/8" wide.  Some very slight wear of gold on one portion of the rim -- about 1 1/4" long.

#3851 Old Schumann Lustreware Bowl

c.1900 or older.  This beautiful old bowl has the very old green C. S. mark.  The large and beautiful roses are in transfer on a background of white lustre with purple accents.  2 3/4" tall x 10 3/8" diameter.  Excellent condition, especially for its age.

SOLD#2496 Schumann Bavaria Floral Plate, U.S. ZoneSOLD

A nice decorative plate.  7 7/8" diameter.  Scalloped rim with gold trim.  Pretty cartouches with florals on top of rim, alternating with turquoise panels with a criss-cross design.  Large purple flower is focal point of center.  The U. S. Zone part of the mark dates it to the 1945-49 era when the U. S. occupied Germany just after WW II.  Excellent condition.

SOLD#2782 Schumann Dice Players Urchin PlateSOLD

SOLD7 1/2" diameter.  A very popular scene of beggar children throwing dice.  This scene is in transfer and was reproduced by many other manufacturers, including R. S. Prussia, after the original painting by Spanish artist Bartolome Esteban Murillo, 1618-1682. (Source:  R. S. Prussia Popular Lines, Mary Frank Gaston, page 22).  A beautiful display plate.  Murillo produced several paintings portraying some of the street children of his time and place.  They have commonly been referred to as street urchins and beggars.  Excellent condition.  c.mid-20th century.SOLD
