#1889 19th Century Quadruple Silver Plate Cake Basket, Wm. Rogers Mfg. Co. of Hartford, Connecticut.
Resource books indicate Rogers was in business under this name and used this mark from c. 1865-1898, In 1898, they helped organize the International Silver Company. In remarkably excellent condition considering its age. It does have three worn areas on underside of basket and slight wear on topside on edge of base near the engraved name "Morton." It is approximately 8" square x 4 1/4" tall to top of basket and 10 3/4" tall to top of handle. October 2005, $110

Ornate handles and rim. Beautiful Hand-Chasing in bed (see closeup below). 20" long including handles x 12 3/4" wide. Unmarked and maker unknown.
