*The George Zoltan Lefton China Company, Chicago, Illinois,* was a distributor of imported giftware from Japan beginning in 1940 and is apparently still in business today, although George Lefton himself is now deceased (since the mid or late 1990's).

Purchased brand new in the very early 1970's. Perfect condition. 7 1/8" tall x 2 5/8" across the base.

#2239 Lefton China Butterfly and Flowers
NOT PERFECT. See last picture on right. The very top has a broken stem. Notice the white center which is the clean break It is priced accordingly. This particular mark was used 1949-1955 ((Source: *Lehner's Encyclopedia of U. S. Marks on Pottery, Porcelain, & Clay* by Lois Lehner, page 255).
